Elephant: The Pillar of the World -- Discovery Journey 36

Features: When the primitive people saw elephants, they stopped. Seeing the elephants eating grass, they pulled out the tender grass and dug up the roots. The primitive people thought their lives seemed pleasant and carefree. Under the giant feet of the elephants, the lions were like mud. Their tusks could uproot trees, and their iron-like heads seemed capable of breaking branches and cutting down trees. People also found that their long trunks were flexible and agile, and couldn't help but marvel: "The elephant is the king of all land animals!" However, none of the things that people envy about elephants could protect them. Please see the tragic history of elephants as shown in "Elephants: Pillars of the World" (one of the "Discovery Journey" pocket booklets).
