Later, the Tang Dynasty calligraphers Zhang Xu and Liang Zhi, known as "the Crazy Zhang and Drunken Liang," revitalized the art of cursive script, leaving a profound impact on later generations. This was because they transcended the mortal realm, leaving behind calligraphic works that seemed to dance like smoke and clouds on paper.
