Patient's question:
Detailed medical condition and consultation purpose:Suddenly noticed small growths on the inner side of the labia minora, one on each side. One growth is 1-2 mm in diameter and 6 mm long, while the other appears shorter, with several growing together. The surface is smooth, and the color is similar to the surrounding mucosa, somewhat resembling filiform warts from dermatology.
I’ve never paid attention to it before. Is it inflammatory?
No pain or itching, but there’s slightly yellow and increased vaginal discharge.
No history of sexual activity.
I don’t know why, and I’m very scared. Please give some advice. Thank you.
Doctor's answer:
After the operation for genital warts, it is recommended to clean the local area with a 1:5000 potassium permanganate solution and then apply an external ointment to maintain cleanliness and dryness in the preputial cavity. Drink plenty of water, avoid alcohol, and do not eat spicy or irritating foods. During treatment, refrain from sexual activity, alcohol, spicy and irritating foods, beef, lamb, and seafood. Pay attention to nutrition and rest. Some hospitals may use interferon in combination to help boost the immune system.
