Features: New Precision German Intensive Course is specifically designed for students and researchers studying or furthering their studies in German-speaking countries, focusing on intensive German language learning. The book is divided into five levels: Basic 1, Basic 2, Intermediate 1, Intermediate 2, and Advanced Course. It consists of a total of 5 volumes. Currently, it is the first comprehensive systematic textbook in China's German intensive teaching field that integrates language, national conditions, cross-cultural communication, as well as listening, speaking, reading, writing training, and preparation for the German DSH (University German Language Test). The entire book is compiled according to the teaching syllabus and references the requirements of the German DSH exam syllabus. From writing, trial use, revision, finalization, publication, and use to revision and re-publication, it has gone through 10 years of development. The book covers from the beginning of learning German to the point where students can take the DSH exam, suitable for three semesters of teaching. The textbook is rich in content, well-structured, innovative in design, and features diverse question types, making it the only German intensive course in China that aligns directly with the DSH. We hope that the publication of New Precision German Intensive Course will promote exchanges in textbook development within the German intensive teaching field and facilitate cultural communication between China and German-speaking countries and regions. New Precision German Intensive Course: Advanced is written for advanced-level students by the preparatory department for German studies at Tongji University, aiming to help students pass the German university entrance language exam (DSH). To this end, the textbook not only cultivates students' four fundamental language skills—listening, speaking, reading, and writing—but also places special emphasis on improving their exam-taking techniques for the DSH. The original materials for this textbook are partly selected from past PNdS tests and classroom exercises from the University of Bochum and other German universities, while the other part comes from German newspapers and magazines. The topics covered include: environmental protection, energy, health, news media, computers, interpersonal relationships, interdisciplinary collaboration, research and production, cooperation between technology and the economy, market and consumption, population development, genetic engineering, technological development, and the study and employment of university students. The textbook consists of 14 units and 7 mock tests, divided into three stages. The first stage focuses on building a foundation for DSH exam preparation, such as reading analysis methods, question interpretation, answer techniques, listening note-taking skills, and summarization skills for written or oral responses. The second stage enhances exam-taking abilities through extensive practice. The third stage uses mock tests to familiarize students with the format and difficulty of the DSH. This textbook is the advanced-level material for New Precision German Intensive Course, specifically designed for students preparing to take the German university entrance language exam (DSH). The exercises in the book fully correspond to the five components of the DSH: dictation, reading comprehension, writing, grammar, and oral exam. It provides systematic foundational training along with mock exam questions from several German universities, aiming to help students pass the German university entrance language exam (DSH). The textbook covers a wide range of topics, is rich in content, and uses standardized language, making it an ideal and comprehensive advanced-level textbook for the third semester of German intensive training.
