Features: This is a dedicated preparation coursebook for the newly introduced authoritative German language proficiency test – the TestDaF. It is adapted from the original German-language book by Max Hueber Publishing, based on the learning habits of Chinese readers. The course is structured into three progressive levels (A, B, C), with text-based teaching as the main focus. It provides targeted training for the four sections of the TestDaF – Listening, Speaking, Reading, and Writing – to gradually improve the reader's German language skills and test-taking abilities. The content is vivid and comprehensive, with a clear structure, natural language, diverse exercise formats, and numerous mock exercises and test questions specifically designed for the TestDaF. It is particularly suitable as a classroom textbook for TestDaF preparation courses and training programs, or as a self-study resource for candidates.
Level Progression: Starting from Unit 2, the test includes simple listening comprehension exercises. In Units 2 and 3, Listening Exercise 1 trains students in grasping the overall structure of the text, while Listening Exercise 2 focuses on detailed comprehension. In Units 4 and 5, Listening Exercise 2 continues to train detailed comprehension, and Listening Exercise 3 focuses on judgment and selection skills.
Second and Third Stages: In these stages, the listening exercises comprehensively train students' abilities (each unit includes three listening exercises).
