In terms of content, the old version was optimized according to the new teaching requirements, emphasizing innovation, origin, cultivation, and practicality. In terms of form, the latest design with double-color printing was adopted to achieve solemnity, elegance, liveliness, and novelty. This dictionary contains nearly a thousand entries. For allusion entries, there are items such as entry, source, definition, and examples, introduced in order. However, not all items are available for every entry, depending on the actual situation. The same allusion may have different forms, with the most common form listed as the main entry, and the others as sub-entries. Sub-entries do not have explanations, and the meaning can be found in the main entry. The foreign language of the entry only appears in English, while other languages are not included. Different forms are indicated in parentheses. The source explains the origin of the allusion. Names of people involved are as far as possible annotated with nationalities. Chinese names are given as surnames only, with foreign surnames and names, as well as birth and death years, noted in parentheses. The foreign language is limited to English, Russian, and a few French and German. The definition explains the meaning of the allusion. Entries with multiple meanings are explained item by item. Examples help illustrate the usage of the allusion, deepening understanding. Written examples indicate the author and book title, while self-selected examples are marked with "." Entries are arranged in phonetic order. If the first character has the same sound, they are ordered by stroke count; if the first characters are the same, the second character's sound is used for ordering, and so on.
