What is the miscellaneous bacteria in the routine examination of leukorrhea

Patient's question:

Routine examination of leucorrhea: Three plus red blood cells, other miscellaneous bacteria are seen. What are miscellaneous bacteria?? Are they serious???? First follow-up question: The doctor said taking medication for a week would make it better. Will it be okay after finishing the medication? Second follow-up question: But the doctor didn't ask me to follow up.

Doctor's answer:

Hello, contamination refers to many bacteria being present together. Treatment for bacterial vaginosis:
1. Metronidazole (Flagyl)
Usage: Take 0.2-0.4g orally per dose, 2-3 times daily, for 7 consecutive days. It can also be administered via intravenous infusion.
2. Amoxicillin
Usage: Take 0.5g orally per dose, 3 times daily. It can also be diluted and administered via intravenous infusion in two divided doses of 6g daily.
Local Treatment
1. Clean the area regularly to maintain hygiene.
2. You may use 3% boric acid or dilute acetic acid to rinse the vagina, followed by rinsing with clean water to alleviate symptoms.
3. Using erythromycin solution for rinsing can also be effective.
4. Rinse the vagina with "Jie'eryin" or "Fu Yin Jie" internally, once daily or every other day.
Precautions:
- Both symptomatic and asymptomatic sexual partners should receive appropriate treatment.
- Bacterial vaginosis may coexist with other sexually transmitted infections, so relevant tests and treatments should be conducted.
Wishing you a speedy recovery!
