In the th edition of the winning works, 5 essays were included in the middle school Chinese textbook. This year's competition was composed by a panel of distinguished experts including Gu Zhenbiao, Chen Zhongshi, Yu Hua, Xiong Zhaozheng, Chen Sihe, Zhang Dawen, and Yang Liwei, with over 300,000 young students participating to challenge the middle school entrance exam essays. The "Global Chinese Youth Meiwen Writing Competition" is jointly organized by the Meiwen magazine and the China Youth Literature Network. It has been successfully held for two editions and is hailed as the "Chinese Youth Nobel Prize in Literature." The first competition offered a substantial prize pool of 1.01 million yuan, attracting over 80,000 young students from both China and abroad. Among the three gold medal winners, two were admitted to Peking University and Nanjing University, while the other went abroad for studies. All 10 winners of the grand prize were admitted to key universities across the country. Five winning essays from the first competition were selected for national textbooks. This year's competition saw over 300,000 participants, marking a record-breaking event.
