Age
Detailed medical condition and consultation purpose: Severe vomiting occurred one month into pregnancy, please provide relevant solutions

Doctor's answer:

Hello: The situation you mentioned is a pregnancy-related reaction. In the early stages of pregnancy, generally around 6 weeks post-menstruation, about half of the pregnant women will experience dizziness, fatigue, lethargy, and (sleepiness), as well as a decreased appetite. Some may also have abnormal appetite, picky eating, a preference for sour flavors, and aversion to greasy foods. Some may experience nausea and vomiting in the morning or when their stomach is empty, and cannot tolerate the smell of greasy foods or other odors, otherwise vomiting will immediately occur. All these belong to the physiological reactions of pregnancy and will usually naturally subside around the 12th week of pregnancy. Although these are physiological reactions, they can still be quite uncomfortable. However, if you focus on the following aspects, most of the discomfort can be alleviated:
1. Stabilize your emotions, relieve your worries, avoid all negative stimuli, and maintain a pleasant mood.
2. Pay attention to rest, avoid overexertion, and ensure at least 8 hours of sleep at night. Take short breaks during the day as well.
3. The bedroom must be well-ventilated with fresh air.
4. Choose easily digestible, light, and palatable foods that are rich in concentrated carbohydrates, proteins, and vitamins, such as saltine crackers, congee, lotus root starch, steamed eggs, steamed fish, soy milk, milk, and fruits. Eat in small amounts and at regular intervals.
5. Appropriately supplement vitamins by taking 10 mg of vitamin B6, 11 mg of vitamin B1, and 100 mg of vitamin C, three times a day.
6. Take small doses of antiemetic and sedative medications, such as 0.03 grams of phenobarbital or 12.5 mg of promethazine, two to three times a day.
