How to deal with uterine fibroids and cysts, whether surgery is needed

Patient's question:

I have uterine fibroids and cysts, how should I see a doctor, do I need surgery?

Doctor's answer:

Hello: Ovarian cysts smaller than 5 cm can be temporarily untreated, while those larger than 5 cm can be treated with ultrasound-guided puncture. Smaller uterine fibroids may not require treatment if there is a possibility of pregnancy.
Cervical cysts are a manifestation of chronic cervical inflammation. For scattered, small cervical glandular cysts, treatment is generally not needed, and annual check-ups are sufficient. For dense, small Nabothian cysts or larger cysts, physical treatments such as phototherapy, laser, microwave, or cryotherapy may be considered. For larger cysts that protrude from the surface of the cervix, electrocautery excision may be an option.
