Is it okay to eat less Mifeprex after menstruation?

Patient's question:

I had two painless abortions, one two years ago and another last year. It has been more than a year since then. After the abortions, I have been taking Mifeprex for contraception. My menstrual cycle has been very regular, but each period is very short, lasting only two days. There is no discomfort during my period, and my abdomen doesn't hurt either. I thought that the short periods were due to taking Mifeprex, but now I haven't taken it for three months, and my periods are still only two days long. Before I got married, my periods were shorter than others', but they lasted about three or four days. Now they are even shorter, and I'm afraid I might have a problem. I don't know if I will be able to get pregnant in the future. Do I need to do any tests?
Looking forward to your reply!

Doctor's answer:

Hello: The female hormones contained in birth control pills differ greatly from those secreted by the ovaries in terms of quantity, type, and timing. Under the effect of birth control pills, the endometrium cannot grow to normal thickness, and the glandular tissue of the endometrium also fails to develop properly. Typically, the amount of menstrual flow is related to the thickness of the endometrium. If the endometrium grows thin, the menstrual flow will naturally decrease, which is the reason for the gradual reduction in menstruation.
As long as there is ovulation, pregnancy can occur.
