Features: The author has written the progressive "Practical English for Food, Hygiene, and Medicine." During the writing process, the author collaborated with several peers and extensively referred to relevant books and materials by experts, enriching the content. One of the challenges was selecting the 15 sentences for each unit. The structure and content of these sentences had to be carefully considered to ensure both their independence and the systematic, progressive nature of the entire book. Additionally, there were issues with the arrangement of "Reading Exercises" and other content, some of which underwent three revisions and meticulous refinement to ensure their length and difficulty level met the requirements of each unit. "Practical English for Food, Hygiene, and Medicine" consists of three parts: Food, Hygiene, and Medicine, each part containing 20 units, totaling 60 units. To accommodate learners with different English proficiency levels, the content of each part is arranged progressively from easier to more challenging. In the Food section, units 1–10 focus on basic sentence patterns and dialogue exercises, while units 11–20 increase the difficulty by incorporating basic sentence patterns, dialogue exercises, and reading exercises. The Hygiene section, in addition to basic sentence patterns and reading exercises, also includes verb learning content. The Medicine section further enhances the difficulty of reading material to achieve a balance between depth and accessibility.
