Is it normal to have a small stomach at 4 months pregnant?

Patient's question:

My last menstrual period was at the end of August, and now counting from then, I am 19 weeks pregnant. I haven't had much pregnancy symptoms. Only when I go to crowded places, I feel dizzy. The previous check-ups were all normal. But yesterday, when I went for prenatal care, the doctor said my stomach was too small. He asked me to get an ultrasound. I'm very worried now whether the baby inside is developing well or if there are any major issues.

Doctor's answer:

Generally speaking, the first child is expected to be born around five months. Since the position of a woman's uterus can be anterior, posterior, or in various other positions, combined with the differences in height, weight, and body type among pregnant women, the size of the abdomen may not look the same at the same gestational age. The size of the fetus is assessed by the doctor based on the height of the uterus, abdominal circumference, and the abdomen itself. As long as the ultrasound is normal, there is no need to worry.
