Features: To deeply study and accurately grasp the important spirit of the science and technology conference, fully understand the scientific connotation of independent innovation, and recognize the significant meaning of building an innovative country, the Communist Party of China History Press has decided to publish a book titled "Study Readings on Independent Innovation and Building an Innovative Country." To accomplish this task, we organized experts and scholars from party schools, universities, and the National Science and Technology Ministry to first thoroughly study the important speech delivered by General Secretary Hu Jintao at the science and technology conference, as well as the relevant spirit of the speeches by Premier Wen Jiabao, State Councilor Chen Zhili, Minister Xu Guanhua, and other leaders. Combining their learning experiences, they wrote this "Readings."
