Features: The purpose of compiling this book is to provide an accurate, authoritative, effective, and convenient tool for the practice and research of quality management and quality assurance in China, as well as for the unification of Chinese terminology and definitions related to quality management and quality assurance with those of international standards. All terms in this dictionary are directly derived from the newly revised, officially published ISO 9000 family of standards, including ISO 8402:1994, as well as nearly all terms, definitions, or vocabulary listed in Appendix A of ISO 8402:1994, and nearly all terms appearing in these standards. All terms in this dictionary are strictly translated directly according to the international standards for quality and quality assurance terminology, definitions, or vocabulary of ISO and its collaborating organization IEC, striving for accuracy. The terms in this dictionary generally consist of names, definitions, notes, formulas, figures, tables, and examples, all translated in the original form of international standard terminology to ensure the completeness of the term content. All terms in this dictionary are arranged in Chinese phonetic order, with three types of indexing or search methods available: Chinese phonetic order, English phonetic order, and standard number.
