Works of Hemingway -- Eden

Author: Hemingway
Publisher:
Publish Date: 1997-06-01
Features: American young writer David and his wife Catherine go from Paris to the Mediterranean coast of southern France in the mid-1920s for their honeymoon, indulging in a romantic sexual life. David wants to continue writing, but his wife only wants to enjoy the present, getting her hair cut short, and even after meeting foreign girl Maria, she encourages her husband's hobbies, and the three of them plunge into dangerous sexual games. But the "good times" don't last long. Because Maria supports David's writing, Catherine, driven by jealousy, burns his manuscripts and leaves in a letter. Under Maria's care, David's creativity flows like a spring, rewriting his favorite short story exactly as he liked it, and returns to the "Eden." This is the posthumous work published after Hemingway's suicide in 1961. Although written in his later years when his health was declining, the entire book radiates the fiery vitality and love of youth, making it a rare coming-of-age novel.
