The general manager of Daido, Masaya, has reached retirement age, and a dispute arises over the selection of the next general manager. Tokyo Motor wants to appoint their own person, while Masaya proposes that his son Shogo take over. After intense struggles, the general manager of Daido is eventually appointed by Daido's own people, while Tokyo Motor's candidate becomes the executive director. However, because Masaya chose the wrong person, he is exploited by Tokyo Motor and is forced into retirement. Shogo also leaves the company and moves to the United States.
