Features: Managerial Economics, focusing on the following aspects: First, how to differentiate it from microeconomics in theoretical economics textbooks; second, how to integrate China's business environment and describe the impact of environmental factors on corporate decision-making; third, how to find appropriate Chinese cases based on the content of each chapter. Regarding the first issue, we strictly approach it from the perspective of enterprises, examining and discussing microeconomic issues based on the needs of corporate decision-making. For example, after discussing demand theory, we dedicate a separate section to demand estimation and forecasting. Following production theory and cost theory, we set up chapters on the empirical estimation of production functions and cost functions, directly addressing the problems faced in corporate practice and offering strong practical applicability, which is not covered in microeconomics textbooks. Regarding the second issue, we conduct a detailed analysis of China's policy and institutional environments within a rigorous theoretical framework (Part 3), particularly discussing the evolution of property rights arrangements for state-owned enterprises in China's transition economy and their impact on corporate decision-making. For the third issue, we include two Chinese cases in each chapter (excluding the introduction), such as the income elasticity analysis of housing market demand during China's transition period, the quantitative analysis of state-owned enterprise output, and the internal equity restructuring of state-owned enterprises, among others. In summary, through these efforts, we hope that this Managerial Economics book, while meeting the theoretical depth standards of international MBA textbooks, will also contribute to the localization of teaching materials. Of course, as mentioned earlier, the development of MBA textbooks in China is still in a trial stage, and given the authors' limited knowledge and experience, errors are inevitable. We sincerely welcome readers' corrections.
