Features: The "Series of Ancient Text Research" is one of the key research projects of the Committee for the Collection and Research of Ancient Texts in Higher Education Institutions under the State Education Commission. This project aims to reflect the new achievements of some contemporary scholars in studying important ancient texts in China. The ancient texts of China are vast and numerous, and their collection and research have a long history, with contributions from every generation. Especially for some relatively important ancient texts, due to repeated collection and research in different eras, they have accumulated very fruitful results. However, since these ancient texts hold a very important position in the composition of traditional Chinese culture, scholars from each era stand on their own time, with distinctive academic perspectives, viewpoints, and methods to reinterpret them. Therefore, although the topics of collection and research are repeatedly revisited, from the perspective of historical development, the repetitive work as a whole has the characteristics of renewing and deepening understanding. It is a vibrant and dynamic process of creatively inheriting traditional culture and traditional scholarship. Such a process will undoubtedly continue in the future. Recently, there has been intense ideological debate on how to treat national traditional culture, and through the debate, an increasingly clear consensus has been reached. That is to inherit and carry forward China's excellent traditional culture firmly and unswervingly under the guidance of Marxism-Leninism and Mao Zedong Thought. Moreover, the more open China is to the outside world, the more it should promote its excellent traditional culture. Because the positive influence of excellent traditional culture can deepen patriotic sentiments, enhance the cohesion of the Chinese nation, promote the formation of Chinese style and Chinese spirit, and this undoubtedly has significant and far-reaching implications for building socialism with Chinese characteristics. The "Series of Ancient Text Research" is one of the key research projects of the Committee for the Collection and Research of Ancient Texts in Higher Education Institutions under the State Education Commission, and this book is one of the volumes in the series. It discusses the characteristics, transmission, and Han Dynasty's research on the Chu Ci, narrates the life of Qu Yuan, and explores the "Li Sao," "Jiu Ge," and "Tian Wen."
