Features: The "Adult Higher Education English" textbook published by Shanghai Jiao Tong University Press has been used in many schools. Considering the realities and difficulties of adult English learning, especially for correspondence students in some institutions who primarily study the textbook through self-learning, after listening to suggestions from relevant schools and students, we have developed the "Self-Assessment Guide for Adult Higher Education English" to accompany the textbook. The layout format of this book is largely consistent with the textbook, providing more detailed explanations and examples to help students consolidate their understanding. The introduction to grammar topics in each lesson has been significantly expanded compared to the textbook. With diligent study and completion of the supplementary exercises, students can surely master the grammar difficulties of this textbook and lay a solid foundation for future learning. This book also includes selected grammar exercises, reading exercises, and periodic review exercises for students to choose from as needed. At the end of each unit, answers to the lessons, reference translations of dialogues, and solutions to all exercises from the "Adult Higher Education English" (4th Edition) textbook are provided. Students should complete the relevant lesson materials and exercises before referring to this section to enhance learning consolidation and improvement. Additionally, some answers provided are indicative answers, and some may have multiple acceptable expressions. Students are advised to consult with their instructors or discuss these matters. If any inaccuracies exist in this book, we welcome feedback from both teachers and students to help improve the next edition.
