Features: This book, "Gathering Leaves from the Forest of Books," is an anthology of Xiao Si's "Night Reading Flashbacks" and other book talks and reviews. A significant portion of the content is collected for the first time. The first part is a record of the leaves Xiao Si plucks from the forest of books in both China and the world. The second part consists of prefaces and postfaces she wrote for friends and her own books, with special attention given to her support for emerging literary talents. The third part traces the literary footprint of Hong Kong, primarily reconstructing the "scenes of literary activities" of writers who moved south in the 1930s and 1940s. All the selected book talks reflect Xiao Si's moving spirit of "thinking deeply and writing sincerely."
