It includes 150 lyrical poems by Pushkin, accounting for about one-fifth of the poet's total lyrical works. Lyrical poetry is the essence of Pushkin's creation, possessing profound ideological depth, national characteristics, and high artistic quality, making it an immortal classic. In political poems such as Reminiscences of Tsarskoye Selo, To Karamzin, To the Sea, I Have Erected a Monument to Myself, and In the Depths of Siberian Mines, Pushkin fiercely criticizes the autocratic regime of the Tsars, celebrates freedom, and praises the patriotic spirit of the Russian people resisting foreign invaders, expressing the poet's firm political beliefs. Love poetry holds an important place in Pushkin's poetic creation. Some of these poems reflect the poet's yearning for beautiful emotions, while others express joy shared with a beloved or sorrow of separation. The emotions are sincere, and the language is exquisite. What is even more admirable is that he always maintains a tolerant and magnanimous attitude toward his lovers, blessing others' happiness even if he himself remains unloved. Representative love poems include I Have Loved You and a series titled "Poems to Bakunina." Additionally, Pushkin's poetry explores themes such as friendship, the poet's character, and the praise of nature. In summary, Pushkin's poetry is a precious legacy left to future generations, enabling young students to understand the poet, recognize the era, gain historical knowledge, draw rich nourishment, refine their character, and appreciate beauty.
