Features: The reason for compiling these stylistically distinct works into a book is not particularly grand. First, it was because I occasionally came across a few articles written nearly twenty years ago, which were supposedly articles. Was this really what I wrote? I wondered. Reading further, it seemed indeed to be my work. They were manuscripts sent to Henan. The editor there had a peculiar temperament—he favored longer articles, and the more lengthy, the higher the payment. That's why works like On the Power of the Mo Luo Poets were almost arbitrarily pieced together. If I were to do this in recent years, I probably wouldn't have. I also enjoyed crafting strange sentences and using archaic characters, which was influenced by the Min Bao at the time. For the sake of typesetting convenience now, I've made some adjustments, but the rest remains as is.
