How should pregnant women count fetal movements?

Patient's question:

I have an itchy lower body, and my underwear is always yellow. What's going on? How should pregnant women count fetal movements?

Doctor's answer:

Generally, it is considered that there should be more than 4 to 5 movements per hour, and 30 to 40 movements every 12 hours, not less than 15 movements. At 24 weeks of gestation, normal fetal movement is 86 movements every 12 hours; at 32 weeks, it is 132 movements every 12 hours; and at 40 weeks, it is 107 movements every 12 hours. That is, there are 7, 11, and 9 movements per hour, respectively. The most fetal movement occurs at night, with 13 movements per hour, while in the morning and afternoon, it is the same, with 7 movements per hour.
