Features: Chinese ancient books are vast in volume and their transmission forms are extremely complex. There are cases where the same book has different names, the same series has different titles, some are unintentional, and others deliberately altered. The authors of this book, taking advantage of their work in libraries, have extensively collected and organized materials on ancient books with the same title but different names, compiling over 5,200 entries titled Comprehensive Index of Books with the Same Title but Different Names, published in 1982. Building on this foundation, they have now added another 7,200 entries, corrected some errors in the original book, and republished it under the new title Comprehensive Collection of Books with the Same Title but Different Names, making it much more convenient for readers to consult and utilize.
