Author Bio: Zhang Wei: Male, born in November 1956 in Longkou, Shandong, with origins in Qixia, Shandong. Currently serves as the President of the Shandong Writers' Association and the President of WanSongPu Academy. He began publishing poetry in 1975 and fiction in 1980. His major works include the novels The Ancient Ship, The September Myth, The Family, Letters from a Province, Can't Forget the Sunflowers, and Ugly Acts or Romanticism; the long poems The Path of Reunion and Pine Forest; and the essays Integrating into the Wilderness and Night Thoughts. He has published the Zhang Wei Library, Volumes 1-10. His works have been recognized as the most influential books of the 1990s, among the top 100 Chinese-language novels of the century, and among the top 100 Chinese literary works of the century. They have also been translated into multiple languages and published abroad.
