Editor's Recommendation: In 1980, the Central Committee of the Party History Materials Collection Commission invited Comrade Lu Dingyi to write memoirs, preserving his rich revolutionary experiences in writing. At first, Comrade Dingyi would dedicate half a day each week to discuss his deeds, starting from his family background and childhood, all the way to the establishment of the People's Republic of China in 1949. This process lasted for several months. In 1983, we wrote a rather rough first draft, which the elderly gentleman also reviewed. Due to various reasons, it was not finalized. This matter was temporarily shelved.
