Features: In April 2003, the Chinese Society of Public Administration and Nanjing University of Finance and Economics jointly held the "National Symposium on Administrative Philosophy" in Nanjing. This symposium was the first large-scale academic gathering in China on administrative philosophy since the revival of research on public administration. It collects the basic views of a group of important scholars in the field of public administration in China, comprehensively exploring the disciplinary positioning and nature of administrative philosophy, its research objects and domain, research content and fundamental categories, research methods, an overview of foreign administrative philosophy research, and further addresses philosophical issues in public administration. It represents a theoretical attempt to establish a system of Chinese administrative philosophy.
