Features: Longsa and Yamah studied together at the Tibetan Military Medical School. Upon graduation, they left the military to work in civilian jobs. Longsa fell in love with Wangermar, who came to Lhasa for pilgrimage. The impact and infiltration of modern civilization on the cultural city, and the pursuit of dreams, turned them into a couple who sought refuge from the modern world. Yamah married Zedan, a classmate from the military medical school, after graduation. Due to the lack of prospects in her career, Zedan turned to business, gradually losing passion for family life. At this time, Yamah rekindled a romance with Di, a colleague at the hospital and a married Han Chinese. When their former classmate Xunan reappeared in Lhasa years later, Yamah once again fell into a fantasy about love. However, her struggles with Xunan's meager life in Shanghai eventually led her to return to Lhasa and divorce Zedan. This is the personal experience of two Lhasa women caught between dreams and reality, reflecting the inner emotions and life philosophies of contemporary Tibetan youth.
