Publish Date: 2002-04-01
Features: This book unscrupulously exposes the corruption of power and money, and the decline of morality through the investigation of a murder and necrophilia case involving two college students from official families, as well as the revelation of conflicts within the Provincial Printing Administration. It highlights the necessity and importance of improving the system and eliminating the sources that breed corruption. The novel successfully portrays a series of vivid characters, including a fierce warrior who hates injustice, a self-disciplined and selfless leader in the anti-corruption battle, a contemporary "princeling" guilty of murder and necrophilia, a seemingly righteous political figure in the legal arena, and a shrewd businessman who exploits power for personal gain. The book is distinctly contemporary and combative, making it an excellent work of realistic critique.
