However, we have no intention of discussing the conceptual issues of culture and modernization, as the term "culture" has sparked much controversy, with some statistics indicating that there are nearly 200 definitions of culture in recent years; while modernization is a multi-faceted and profound concept. We also lack the capacity to elaborate on all aspects of French culture and modernization. We will only discuss issues related to economic modernization, political system modernization, as well as the associated social, cultural life, and science and education.
