Patient's question:
Normal, it's usually around 28 days. I don't have condoms anymore, but it's withdrawal ejaculation—my husband pulls out and pauses for 1-2 seconds before ejaculation. However, I'm still worried about pregnancy, so I decided to buy Jingyuting and Yimucao Granules. I want to ask the doctor if emergency contraception is necessary in case of need. If it is, could you introduce Jingyuting? I heard it comes in a single dose—how should I take it, when should I take it, what are the side effects, and when should I take Yimucao Granules to reduce the side effects? Please answer in detail, thank you very much.Medical history and effectiveness: I had an abortion on May 6th of this year and another on November 10th of last year.

Doctor's answer:
(1) Monophasic pills:① Compound norethisterone tablets (Contraceptive Pill No. 1), compound megestrol tablets (Contraceptive Pill No. 2): Starting from the 5th day of the menstrual cycle, take 1 tablet each night for 22 consecutive days. Generally, withdrawal bleeding (similar to menstruation) occurs 2–3 days after stopping the medication. Begin the next cycle by taking the medication again on the 5th day of the next cycle (the 8th day after stopping).
② Compound desogestrel tablets, compound dydrogesterone tablets, and ethinyl estradiol/cycloprogestin tablets: Starting from the 1st day of the menstrual cycle, take 1 tablet each night for 21 consecutive days. Begin the next cycle 7 days after stopping the medication.
(2) Triphasic pills:
Starting from the 1st day of the menstrual cycle, take 1 tablet each day for 21 consecutive days. The first phase (days 1–6) consists of 6 tablets, the second phase (days 7–11) consists of 5 tablets, and the third phase (days 12–21) consists of 10 tablets.
