How to treat fever in early pregnancy

Patient's question:

Description of the problem: My last menstrual period was on March 18th, and it has been confirmed that I am pregnant. I have not taken any birth control pills. After dinner today, I started experiencing a headache and a fever of 37.8 degrees Celsius. I don't have any other symptoms (except for the headache and fever, I don't have any cold symptoms). How can I reduce the fever, urgently!!! On January 15th of this year, I had an induced abortion due to improper medication for a fever. I was also in the early stages of pregnancy at 35 days...

Doctor's answer:

Thermometer:
This is a must-have at home. Check the temperature every 30 minutes to 1 hour, ensuring it stays around 37°C. It's best to place the thermometer under the armpit for accurate readings. Mercury thermometers are recommended as they are more accurate.
Water:
Drink plenty of boiled water during a fever. Avoid excessive amounts of mineral water, distilled water, or other types. It's best to use water boiled in a kettle to replenish fluids lost due to high temperatures.
Baby fever patches:
Don't assume fever patches are only for babies—they can also be used by adults. Fever patches contain alcohol, which can help lower body temperature. The cooling effect is gradual, making them suitable for physical cooling. Before applying, gently wipe the forehead with a towel, then place the fever patch on it.
