Patient's question:
Can mild cervical erosion be cleaned with "Fu Yin Jie"? Will using this cause damage to the cervix? First follow-up question: Will it worsen the erosion after use? Second follow-up question: Are there other methods besides medication for treating this?Doctor's answer:
When suffering from mild cervical erosion, patients generally have no obvious subjective symptoms, or may only experience a slight increase in leukorrhea, which is often easily overlooked. Many patients' cervical erosion is discovered during routine examinations or when seeking medical treatment for other gynecological conditions. The most prominent symptoms of moderate and severe cervical erosion are an increased amount of leukorrhea, which is yellow, viscous, or mixed with blood streaks. In some cases, postcoital bleeding may occur. Long-term stimulation of the external genitalia by inflammatory leukorrhea can also lead to pruritus ani. Additionally, since the cervical lymphatic vessels directly communicate with the parametrial connective tissue, inflammation can spread to the pelvic cavity through the lymphatic system, causing parametritis and symptoms such as lower back and sacral pain, as well as lower abdominal fullness and distension. In a small number of cases, infertility may also be caused by cervical erosion.
