Features: If a qualitative description is necessary, this book can be categorized as a collection of reflective essays. According to Liu Xiaofeng, thinkers can be broadly divided into two types: one can be called "thought criminals," who create thought anomalies through various arguments. The other can be called "thought detectives," specializing in solving historical thoughtcases. In the realm of thought, discovery is valuable, but when thought is misinterpreted, excavation and discovery are even more commendable. Regardless of the narrative patterns adopted by the authors of this book, whether they are discoverers or excavators, they all succumb to an impulse of thought. ——<<China Book Review Weekly>> recommends
Truly good essays depend on the ability to think. Humans are reeds that think, and without thought, human language would be no different from the belching of animals. Thought cannot bring us economic value, but it can advance humanity. As for the flexible genre of reflective essays, I believe it is far from being a subservient appendage to any thought system. Its value lies in changing the way thought is narrated and disseminated—and of course, the way it is received. It breaks free from the constraints of time and space, and can even shatter certain rigid logical surfaces, allowing all the propositions that humanity has ever thought about to split or recombine like a Rubik's cube, connecting some cold theories directly to human blood. Kafka said: "We do not share a single body, but we share a growth process that leads us through all kinds of pain, whether in this form or that." In the true sense, essays bring both happiness and pain at the same time.
