What symptoms are more obvious in the first pregnancy?

Patient's question:

What are the more obvious symptoms in the early stages of pregnancy?

Doctor's answer:

Early Pregnancy Symptoms
1. Menstrual Cessation
In women with a regular menstrual cycle who are married, if menstruation does not occur within 1–2 weeks after the expected date, pregnancy should be the first consideration. It is only after a delay of more than 40 days that pregnancy becomes more likely. If menstruation still does not occur during the second cycle, pregnancy is even more probable. Although the cessation of menstruation is an important early symptom of pregnancy, pregnancy can sometimes occur without menstruation or with infrequent periods. In some cases, early pregnancy may be mistaken for menstruation due to slight vaginal bleeding.
Women who have not yet experienced menarche, those who are breastfeeding, or those in menopause may experience amenorrhea before actual conception. Conversely, in the first 12 weeks of pregnancy (equivalent to the expected date of menstruation), 1–2 instances of slight vaginal bleeding may also be misinterpreted as anovulation.
Speear et al. even reported that in 225 pregnancies that did not result in miscarriage, 2% of those with vaginal bleeding within the first 196 days of pregnancy.
