Features: The four-volume edition of Ke Ling's Prose was published by Shanghai Yuedong Publishing House. The overall design, selection, division into volumes, and titles of each volume were all crafted by Comrade Liu Dongguan. This differed greatly from my own selected collections, making me feel fresh and creating a momentary psychological distance. Subject and object exchanged places, leading to self-examination and reference. Notes on Floating Dust, it records the trials of life's journey, the hardships of historical progress, and the tremors and cries of the soul amidst the smoke of war and the storms of conflict. Life is a messy sea of dust, from ugliness to ugliness, wave after wave. People struggle to float and sink within it, yet their hearts reach toward distant worlds. They pursue harmony from chaos, brilliance from decay, fragrance from stench, and miracles from the ordinary. Ideals make reality transparent, beautiful aspirations fill life with meaning, and humanity finds a sense of purpose, allowing history to endure endlessly with the passage of time. But life is a trial for people. Ideals, far off, beckon eagerly but rarely allow one to approach. The meaning of beauty is so hollow, often leading people toward ambiguity and intoxication.
