Features:'s life was one of relentless struggle for a certain cause, making him inevitably one of the most vilified figures in modern China. Read the sister volume to "Lu Xun and Those He 'Cursed.'" Throughout his life, Lu Xun made immense contributions to Chinese culture, and he was truly great. Yet, both during his lifetime and after his death, he faced relentless malicious and non-malicious criticism and slander. The author of this book claims to be an avid reader of Lu Xun's works and, to defend him, spent years in his spare time completing "Lu Xun and Those He 'Cursed,' " published in 1996. This book sold over 10,000 copies in its first year and a half. Recently, the author wrote this sister volume: "Lu Xun: The Most Vilified Man." The main difference between the two books is that the former is a debate between Lu Xun and his adversaries, while the latter focuses on the posthumous criticism, attacks, curses, and slander directed at Lu Xun by some literary figures. This book will also be well-received by readers. Having read many articles about Lu Xun, I am delighted to see that so many people in China love and understand him. The righteousness of humanity is ever-present. Lu Xun has been dead for so long, yet there are still so many people cursing him, proving that his influence remains, much like when he was alive, causing discomfort to some. It also proves that Lu Xun is immortal. I forget whether it was Boileau or Racine who said, "There are no heroes who are merely, and no great men who become insignificant because of curses." Lu Xun is proving this very point.
