Features: This is a series of biographical books centered around the personality of the writers. The personality of the writers is reflected not only in their creations but also in their social activities and daily lives. The writers' ideals, pursuits, spiritual demeanor, individual temperament, natural inclinations, cultural choices, and value orientations are all external manifestations of their personality. These are also the core content that we strive to accurately capture and vividly depict while clearly outlining and describing the life states and life experiences of the masters. Additionally, the description of the writers' creative mindset is undoubtedly one of the aspects we deliberately emphasize in the writing process of these biographies.
The study of writers' mindset or the history of literary minds has emerged as a new field in literary research in recent years. As a macro-level research with strong philosophical undertones, it focuses on the mindset of writers or literary minds in groups or eras. However, such macro-level research must be based on extensive micro-level studies, and micro-level studies are precisely the strength and advantage of writer biographies.
In terms of the writing purpose of this series, it explicitly proposes that the analysis and interpretation of works should avoid the stereotypical style of "critical biographies" and refrain from treating works as closed object texts, allowing one's own inclinations to dominate in vulgar sociological or political pursuits. Instead, it requires viewing works as expressions of the writers' subjective consciousness and calls for in-depth exploration and detailed descriptions of the psychological states of the writers during the creative process of important works.
