Features: China is a unified multi-ethnic country. The Han ethnic group and all minority ethnic groups have long been working, living, and multiplying together on this vast land, making outstanding contributions in the struggle to build our great motherland. Although the population of minority ethnic groups accounts for only 8% of the total national population, they are widely distributed and mostly located in border areas where resources are very abundant. Since the founding of the country, the Party's ethnic policies have been continuously publicized through various channels, and the significant changes that have taken place among all ethnic groups since liberation have been introduced. In the new situation, to help a broad readership understand the conditions of China's minority ethnic groups more comprehensively and systematically, our publishing house has decided to publish a series of ethnic knowledge books, primarily in text with appropriate photographs reflecting the characteristics of minority ethnic groups.
