Is it normal to have one or two episodes of bleeding on the tenth day of the menstrual cycle?

Patient's question:

For the tenth day, there's still some bleeding, about once or twice a day. In the first few days, there wasn't much bleeding. A few days ago, I exercised a bit too much, and occasionally had some bleeding. I went to the hospital and was told it's fine within two weeks, and everything will come out on its own. I asked if I should still take some hemostatic and anti-inflammatory medication after finishing the prescribed medicine, and they said no. It's the tenth day now, and I have leg pain which causes bleeding, with slight lower abdominal pain.

Doctor's answer:

Generally speaking, a miscarriage procedure usually involves minimal bleeding, and there is almost no bleeding the next day. Don't worry too much; it should be fine. If the miscarriage is not complete, it should result in continuous bleeding. You should go to the hospital for a follow-up ultrasound after one week post-surgery to check the uterine contraction and see if the miscarriage is complete. Minimal bleeding is also an advantage of a miscarriage procedure. With medication-induced abortion, bleeding is usually more significant. Pay attention not to catch a cold after the procedure, don't get angry, and eat fewer stimulating foods.
