Can women with unobstructed fallopian tubes take traditional Chinese medicine to clear them?

Patient's question:

If checking for blocked fallopian tubes, can Chinese medicine be used to clear them? How long does the medication need to be taken?

Doctor's answer:

The ducts connecting the ovaries to the vagina, including the median oviduct and lateral oviduct, through which eggs are expelled. The oviducts are a pair of long and curved tubes located at the upper edge of the broad ligament of the uterus, with the inner end connected to the uterine horns and the outer end free, close to the ovaries, with a total length of 8-15 cm.
The patency of the oviducts is one of the essential conditions for conception. The lumen of the oviduct is relatively narrow, with the narrowest part of the lumen having a diameter of only 1-2 mm. When tubal inflammation or pelvic inflammation occurs, the narrowest part of the oviduct and the fimbriae are prone to adhesion or complete occlusion. As a result, sperm and eggs cannot meet within the lumen, leading to infertility. There are generally three types of oviductal blockage: first, complete occlusion with severe damage; second, partial blockage with mild damage; and third, partial patency.
