Features: This textbook was organized and compiled by Peking University Press. The content and format were determined based on the "Basic Requirements for Teaching in Higher Vocational and Technical Education." This "College Chinese Basic Tutorial" was developed after extensively collecting teaching opinions from higher education institutions and drawing on reform experiences from various regions. The textbook is divided into four sequences of knowledge and training: Poetry and Prose Reading and Appreciation, Fiction and Film/TV Reading and Appreciation, Speech and Debate Knowledge and Practice, and Applied Writing Practice. Each sequence focuses on basic knowledge as the main thread, using examples and models as illustrations, and breaks down the teaching objectives of the four sequences into six major chapters. In addition to the four sequences, some relevant materials are appended to expand the necessary knowledge of college Chinese. In terms of content, the modern and classical Chinese, poetry and prose, fiction and film/TV, and speech/debate and applied writing are proportionally arranged. The six chapters include reading, writing, appreciation, oral expression training, and applied writing training. The content is rich and covers a wide range, emphasizing ability-based learning and focusing on cultivating students' innovative spirit and practical skills. It strengthens the integrated training of reading, writing, listening, and speaking. Through teaching and learning in various higher education institutions, the textbook aims to improve students' Chinese proficiency and cultivate their ability to understand and use language. This textbook is a general textbook for all majors in higher vocational colleges and higher technical colleges. In teaching, conditions should be created to use modern teaching methods as much as possible to ensure the effectiveness of listening, speaking, reading, and writing training, as well as the appreciation of works.
