Features: Regarding the book Zhuangzi, there have been two main research approaches so far. One is segment-by-segment annotation, and the other is systematic interpretation. The former often tends to be fragmented, while the latter is frequently overly abstract. This book attempts to find a middle path. Its main objective is to provide a systematic philosophical interpretation of Zhuangzi based on an author-determined interpretive framework, while also striving to ground this interpretation in a comprehensive, systematic, and rigorous annotation and analysis of the text. To this end, the author adopts a completely new writing approach: breaking the original structure of Zhuangzi, grouping all relevant parts together, and interpreting the issues of life significance and governance within the Zhuangzi within this system.
