Publishing Date: 2006-01-01
Features: Riding the wave of China's reform and opening-up, the author was fortunate to win the WHO scholarship and went to the United States for study in the fall of 1981. Simultaneously, he was lucky to receive guidance from Professor Scully, a world-renowned expert in gynecopathology and a leading authority on ovarian tumor pathology. He spent six months reading his consultation case slides and learned his extensive diagnostic experience, gaining a great deal from it. Now, at the kind invitation of the Editorial Committee of the Chinese Clinical Pathology Series and Jiangxi Science and Technology Press, the author has been asked to compile the "Gynecology and Obstetrics Pathology" volume. The author feels honored to accept this invitation despite feeling inadequate. Due to the complexity of ovarian diseases, the diversity of their types, and the complexity of their morphology, diagnosis and treatment have faced many challenges. In recent years, with the development of techniques such as immunohistochemistry, electron microscopy, and molecular biology, as well as the diversification of pathological research methods, new insights have been gained into known diseases, and clinical pathology has made significant progress. It is hoped that this book will be beneficial to the practical work of gynecopathologists and bring good news to the health of women at large.
