Features: From ancient times to the present, the development of literary concepts in Chinese literature has gone through three stages. The first stage is the "stage ofrdquo; era, characterized by the mixture of literature and history, with literary and historical writing intertwined. This stage spans a long historical period. The second stage is the "stage ofrdquo; era, with its core being the recognition of the independent value of literature. This era began when we accepted Western literary concepts in the early 20th century and continues to exert a major influence today. The third stage is the "stage ofrdquo; era, which is a comprehensive thinking form at a new historical height. It draws on the practical results and theoretical strengths of the "stage ofrdquo; era while attempting to transcend the artificial mutilation of the natural coexistence of literature and culture in the process of "literary purificationrdquo; by taking into account the vast and rich existence of human culture. This era has just begun with the new century, although its influence is not yet as significant as the previous two stages, it is the direction of the development of new literary concepts that determines the future of human cultural development. This is what I call the "Literary Three Ages Theoryrdquo; in my view. According to this concept, the progress of literary concepts will inevitably prompt people to adopt a more tolerant, dialectical, and forward-looking perspective when viewing the issue of high and low culture, with a view to fostering a healthy cultural ecosystem. Whether from the perspective of satisfying the narrative aesthetic psychology of a national culture or from the perspective of adapting to the multiple needs of urban citizen culture that is coming, the development of modern popular fiction will bring us many positive insights. Rereading them cannot be seen as merely a pleasant cultural leisure activity, but more as a culturally significant reflective activity. At this time, launching this series of "Chinese Popular Fiction Series" will undoubtedly make positive contributions to the construction of Chinese culture in the future.
