Features: Emerging from the May Fourth Movement, Chinese New Literature can be described as the strategy of Huaxia wisdom breaking through the modern context. Whether in terms of discourse content or literary form, it represents a radical turn in the long history of literature. This transformation gave rise to a generation of literary giants and a series of brilliant works. Departing from the old traditions of self-expression and moral instruction, New Literature wholeheartedly embraced the path of enlightening the masses and cultivating individuals. That era, filled with anxiety and frustration, clamor and hope, itself stands as a fascinating chapter in history. Ming Dian Bookstore focuses on the timeless works of modern masters, selecting artistic treasures that are both highly readable and deeply humanistic. Each volume features the personal creations of individual writers, with plans to release them in separate series. Since the mid-1980s, our publishing house has compiled and published over two hundred collections of modern writers. We have previously edited series such as the Complete Works of Modern Classic Writers, the Century Literary Collection, and Modern Texts, among others. Throughout this process, we have been fortunate to receive dedicated support from scholars, including Qian Liqun.
