Features: Since the reform and opening-up, China's livestock industry has achieved unprecedented development, with animal-based food products, especially meat and eggs, greatly meeting people's living needs. At the same time, losses caused by diseases have also been substantial. To effectively prevent and control these diseases and protect animal health, correct diagnosis and rational medication are essential. Among a series of diagnostic measures, laboratory tests play a significant auxiliary role in diagnosing both epidemic diseases and common organ-related conditions. In the prevention and control process, veterinary drugs have a highly noticeable impact on reducing morbidity and mortality, promoting growth, improving feed utilization efficiency, and enhancing product quality, making them an indispensable material foundation for modern livestock industry. However, if medication is not used appropriately, one consequence is the occurrence of veterinary drug residues exceeding standards in livestock products, endangering consumer health. With the rapid development of medical and pharmaceutical disciplines, after more than a decade of accumulation, testing technologies based on analytical chemistry, pharmaceutical chemistry, biochemistry, clinical pharmacology, toxicology, and management science have emerged as a new discipline. However, for laboratory technicians engaged in veterinary, veterinary drug, and feed testing, there is currently a lack of systematic, user-friendly, and comprehensive books introducing relevant content. Therefore, we have compiled this book. The purpose of this book is to provide convenient operational technical references for technicians engaged in the aforementioned work.
