Author: Li Yunzhong
Publisher:
Publish Date: 2005-04-01
Features: This book selects 74 works or critical essays from 59 writers of 17 ethnic groups. In addition to adhering to the principle of unifying ideological and artistic quality, educational value, and aesthetic value, the following considerations were also taken into account:
First, works with very high literary standards;
Second, works that have provided new elements and made new contributions to literary history;
Third, works that, though not outstanding, have had a significant impact under certain specific conditions;
Fourth, works that have played a pioneering or foundational role in the development of literature within their respective ethnic groups.
Of course, while meeting the above requirements, efforts were made to ensure diversity in ethnicity, genre, and style. The textbook is categorized into poetry, fiction, prose, and drama, with works arranged in chronological order of publication. The critical sections aim to reflect existing research on the authors' works in the current literary field. Considering that some works may be difficult for readers to access, the summaries provide brief introductions to the plots to help readers gain a comprehensive understanding of the works.
