Features: Business Correspondence in Foreign Trade English is an indispensable part of foreign trade English. Foreign trade English can be said to be the English used in foreign economic and trade activities and social activities. Correspondence is the most widely used means of communication in foreign economic and trade activities and social activities, and a necessary component of business activities. This textbook is used for the course of Business Correspondence in Foreign Trade English by the English Department (Foreign Trade Direction) of the Central Radio and Television University, and is intended for students majoring in English (Foreign Trade Direction) at the Radio and Television University and self-learners with equivalent levels. Through learning, students are expected to master the basic vocabulary, sentence patterns, and formats of business correspondence in foreign trade, gain some understanding of the characteristics of certain aspects of foreign trade, and be able to draft and read general foreign trade business documents and emails in English. This textbook is organized according to business processes, divided into 14 parts, covering quotations, letter structure and format, credit investigation, establishing business relations, inquiries, offers, counteroffers, acceptances, payments, shipments, and claims. The letters for each business process in this textbook strive to include essential knowledge that must be mastered, aiming to be typical, practical, easy to learn, and easy to understand. There are 8 exercises in the textbook, which can be used to check the learning content of certain sections. Teachers can use them as classroom exercises or tests, or as homework according to actual circumstances. The textbook is accompanied by 6 appendices, including the teaching syllabus for this course, supplementary materials, reference answers for exercises, and self-assessment questions. It is hoped that these materials will be helpful to students learning this textbook. This textbook is based on the broadcast correspondence textbook written by the author and used for many years, supplemented and revised.
